     Процесс получения фотографии стал настолько прост, что без сомнения сделать фото может каждый. Даже фотоаппарат не нужен, так как теперь в любом смартфоне есть встроенная фотокамера.       Наверное, наиболее сложно фотографировать людей, делать их портреты. Тут ведь важно не просто сфотографировать лицо, а нужно суметь поймать именно тот момент, когда между фотографом и моделью установится эмоциональный контакт, исчезнет скованность и наступит момент истины. А вот для этого нужен талант или можно просто родиться гением.

     Есть история о том, как великий художник, умирая, попросил снять со стены больничной палаты рисунок неизвестного автора. Он сказал медицинской сестре: «Сейчас вы увидите, чем бездарность отличается от гениальности всего несколькими штрихами. Это последний мой рисунок. Вы сможете его продать  за миллион долларов и станете богатой». Суть именно в том, где проходит эта незримая грань между посредственностью и гениальностью. Увидеть ее, почувствовать и суметь запечатлеть на фотографии — это очень сложная задача, которая под силу только гению.

     Сэл Паталано — фотограф-портретист, виртуозно владеющий тайной портретной фотосъемки. Его работы выделяются в интернет-потоке огромного количества безликих фотографий и цепляют зрителя.       The process of taking photos has become so simple that almost everyone can take a photo. Now even a purpose built camera is no longer needed, since any smartphone has a built-in camera. Of course, there is a difference in what exactly to photograph and we wrote about this more than once on the pages of our website www.ejeweek.ru, but even the most expensive and coolest camera cannot guarantee you get a masterpiece level photograph. With well-known reservations, it can be argued that it is not important what to photograph, but who photographs.

     Probably the most difficult thing is to photograph people and make their portraits. Here, its important not just to photograph the face, but to be able to catch the exact moment when emotional contact is established between the photographer and the model, stiffness disappears and the moment of truth comes. But for this you need talent or you can just be born a genius.

     There is a story about how a great artist on his death bed asked to take a picture of an unknown author from the wall of the hospital ward. He told the nurse: “Now you will see how mediocrity differs from genius, with just a few touches. This is my last drawing. You can sell it for a million dollars and become rich. ” The point is that there is an invisible line between mediocrity and genius. To see it, to feel it, and be able to capture it in photography is a very difficult task, which only a true genius can do.

     Sal Patalano, portrait photographer, masterfully mastering the secret of portrait photography. His works stands out on the Internet stream of  the overwhelmingly huge number of faceless photos and catches the eyes of the viewer. Each portrait of Sal’s work is not just a photograph, it’s a whole story told to the viewer, captured in a photo.
     The photographer is as masterful as a surgeon. The camera in his hands is wielded with the precision of a scalpel. His work is impossible to watch without numbness. Sometimes overcoming a “stupor” you catch yourself thinking that you are not contemplating a person, but his soul.
